Kungani kufanele usheshe?

UJesu wayecabanga ukuthi abafundi Bakhe—ngaleso sikhathi namanje—babezozila ukudla. Wathi, “Uma nizila ukudla, ningabukeki nidabukile njengabazenzisi” (Mathewu 6:16), waphinda wathi: “Kuyofika izinsuku lapho umyeni eyosuswa kubo, khona-ke bayozila ukudla” (Mathewu 9:15). Ukuzila ukudla akuyona into yokuzikhethela empilweni yobuKristu; kuyisici esilindelekile nesibalulekile sokuzinikela kwethu kuYe. KuwubuKristu obuyisisekelo—isiyalo esingokomoya okufanele sibe yingxenye yendlela yokuphila yawo wonke amakholwa, hhayi nje isenzakalo esingavamile.

 

Siphila nasesikhathini esibucayi. Ngomprofethi uJoweli, uNkulunkulu ubiza abantu baKhe: “Ngisho namanje,” kusho iNkosi, “buyelani kimi ngenhliziyo yenu yonke, ngokuzila ukudla nangokukhala nangokulila” (Joweli 2:12). Lokhu akusikho nje ukubizwa komuntu ngamunye kodwa okweqembu: “Vuthelani icilongo eSiyoni, memezelani ukuzila ukudla okungcwele, bizani umhlangano ongcwele” (Joweli 2:15). NgoMoya waKhe, uNkulunkulu ukhuluma okufanayo neBandla namuhla—sekuyisikhathi sokuzila ukudla, sokuzithoba, nokumfuna ndawonye.

 

Kungani? Ngoba uNkulunkulu wethu ungumlilo oqothulayo (Hebheru 12:29). Ukuzila ukudla akudali umlilo kaNkulunkulu; kusibeka eduze komlilo waKhe oqothulayo, okusivumela ukuthi sihlangane kakhulu nobukhona baKhe nezinto zikaMoya. Kuphinde kushise iziphazamiso kanye nokungacaci kwenyama, kwandise ukuzwela kwethu ngokomoya kanye nokulambela Yena. Ukuzila ukudla kuqinisa yonke imfundiso engokomoya—kungaba umthandazo, ukukhulekela, noma ukufunda iZwi.

 

Kodwa masicacise: ukuzila ukudla akusithengi lutho eMbusweni. Insindiso, ukulunga, nokwamukelwa phambi kukaNkulunkulu kwathengwa ngokugcwele nguJesu Kristu esiphambanweni. “Kuphelile” (Johane 19:30). Ukuzila ukudla akunezeli lutho entengweni esivele ikhokhwe. Esikhundleni salokho, ukuzila ukudla kusenza sikwazi ukuzwa okwengeziwe ngalokho uJesu asekufezile. Kuvula izinhliziyo zethu ngokugcwele ebukhoneni Bakhe nakukho konke okungokwethu ngomsebenzi oqediwe weSiphambano.

 

Ngaphezu kwakho konke, isizathu esiyinhloko sokuzila ukudla uthando ngoJesu nokulambela ukumazi kangcono. Sizila ukudla ngoba sifuna ukulambela Yena kakhulu kunanoma yini enye. Sibeka eceleni ukudla ukuze imiphefumulo yethu ikhale kakhulu: “Jesu, Wena uyisinkwa sami sokuphila, Wena uyisabelo sami, Wena wanele.” Lokhu akukhona ukuthola uthando lwaKhe—kumayelana nokusabela othandweni lwaKhe ngokuzinikela ngenhliziyo yonke.

 

Izinjongo ZeBhayibheli Zokuzila Ukudla

 

IBhayibheli libonisa izizathu eziningi ezenza abantu bakaNkulunkulu bazile ukudla. Nazi ezinye zezizathu eziyinhloko:

  • Ukuzithoba phambi kukaNkulunkulu (Ezra 8:21; IHubo 35:13).

  • Ngenxa yokulangazelela okwengeziwe ngoJesu (Mathewu 9:15).

  • Ukubuyela kuYe ngokuphenduka (Joweli 2:12).

  • Ukufuna isiqondiso Sakhe (IzEnzo 13:2–3).

  • Ukuqinisa umthandazo kanye nokunxusa (Nehemiya 1:4; Daniyeli 9:3).

  • Ukunqoba izimpi zokomoya (Mathewu 17:21).

  • Ukulungiselela inkonzo kanye nokuphumelela (Luka 4:1–14).

  • Ukusondela ebukhoneni Bakhe (Jakobe 4:8).

 

Ngisho noma ukuzila ukudla kuzwakala komile noma lapho sizwa ukuthi akukho lutho olwenzekayo, uNkulunkulu usebenza kokungabonakali: kukhona okwenzekayo ngoMoya.

INkosi ibona yonke imihlatshelo: konke esikwenzayo nakho konke esikugwemayo ukukwenza ngothando lwethu Ngaye. Ukuzila ukudla kuyindlela yokutshala imali esikhathini esizayo. Noma yini esiyitshalayo manje, sizoyivuna kamuva. Uma kungekho okunye, sizovuna okwengeziwe kobukhona Bakhe—futhi lowo ngumvuzo omkhulu kunayo yonke.
